I read the other day in Isaiah 55. The first verses said all of the things I could do. Come, listen, give ear, hear, seek. Verse 6 stood out. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Verse 7 talked about let, turning from evil and turning to the Lord. Verse 8 God's ways are higher than my ways and his thoughts are higher than my thoughts. I love verse 11, talking about his word will not go out empty but will accomplish what he has purposed it to do. In Colossains 4:2, DEVOTE yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. I could really relate to devoting myself to prayer. My sinful tendency is fear and worry. God takes it all and does it the way he wants. I need to rest in him, be watchful and to be thankful for what comes my way. Preacher Dale said in his sermon Sunday. Why do we do what we do? (in our spiritual life). For me it is because he has done so much for me. He has shown himself faithful over and over again. Even when I stray away. Because I love him, because I want to learn all about him, and I want to to what he asks me to do. The reason I am so passionate about being a Christ follower is that it has changed my life. I want others to experience that same freedom in Christ that I have in my life. I don't want anyone to miss out on the Christian experience.
Psalm 116:17 Call on the name of the Lord. Praise him and thank him.
