A Present For Christmas

My Brother who is 47 years old, asked Christ in his heart this past week.  After years of praying, God came to where he was and got a hold of his heart.  Our God is so awesome to listen and answer prayers that we pray.  He called and left me a voice mail about the Daily Bread, a Bible devotional.  He was so excited.  I talked with him and said are you sure you are my brother.  He laughed.  I said listen you are laughing.  I haven't heard him laugh in forever.  He has a different perspective on life.  He definitely got the real deal.

We had a lot of good laughs.  We even talked about a verse that we used to quote as children when we would fight.  Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath but grievous words stir up anger.  I told him that if I knew before what I do now, I would have punched him.  He laughed. Oh, to spend that precious time with my brother on the phone was awesome.  Brought such joy to my heart.
I got a text from him last night.  If God would grant me one gift what would it be?  I told him God did grant me my one gift.  It was for his salvation.  I then told him that we may not often see each other on this earth, we live in different states.  When we get to heaven I told him I was going to be camped out at his mansion.

I can never tell God thank you enough for answering the prayer, the salvation of my brother.

  1. Oh, Kim, I LOVED reading this. I love my brothers so, so much and I know what it means to me to know they are walking with the Lord. To know someone you care about so much receives Salvation is truly a gift - what more could you want for Christmas, right?

    Praise the Lord!!!
